Archify is an MIT licensed agent skill that turns a system description or source repository into an interactive, self contained technical diagram. It supports architecture, workflow, sequence, data flow, and lifecycle views, and targets coding agents including Cursor, Claude Code, Codex CLI, OpenCode, the DeepSeek Harness, and EverMind's Raven. The current stable release is v2.16.0, published 2026-08-30. Project Repository License
Its strongest idea is not the visual styling but a checked artifact pipeline. The agent authors a typed JSON intermediate representation, validators inspect schema, layout, routes, and labels, and delivery produces one dependency free HTML file. A compare command validates two snapshots and emits a deterministic Before / Delta / After proof that pairs components by authored stable IDs and classifies semantic, topology, and geometry changes separately, while explicitly refusing to claim risk, blast radius, or mergeability. The viewer can search and focus nodes, trace authored routes and upstream or downstream reach, step through guided stories, switch themes, and export PNG, JPEG, WebP, SVG, WebM, or share cards. Source links can be pinned to a Git revision when repository evidence is requested. Skill contract Proof Lab
v2.16.0 rebuilt workflow layout as a constraint driven compiler: one measured scene owns placement, phase frames, routes, and labels, schema v1 workflows stay byte stable on the old geometry, migration is non-destructive, and adjacent-column capacity failures now report one causal diagnosis instead of cascading symptom noise. The same release adds optional English and Chinese viewer localization and a notification-only update check against a fixed manifest; the check sends only IP and request time, never version, agent, project data, or prompts, and is fully disable-able. Traction and monetization are visible: the repository shows roughly 40.6k stars and 2.6k forks, sponsors include API reseller APINEBULA (a referral discount link) and EverMind, and distribution now runs through a DeepSeek Harness bundle and a Raven workspace ZIP in addition to the per-agent skill installers, with a parallel Chinese README for the community around LINUX DO. The scenario guide is deliberately question first. It recommends a bounded visual recipe based on what the audience must understand rather than asking the user to choose diagram syntax. Eleven recipes cover five typed modes, with an explicit evidence checklist and guidance on when not to use each view. Scenario guide
Archify is opinionated rather than general purpose. It caps ordinary showcase diagrams at roughly twelve primary nodes, favors one clear main path, and treats deterministic checks as necessary but separate from human visual review. It is not a WYSIWYG editor, hosted sharing service, generic auto layout engine, or direct Mermaid renderer. That narrower scope is a strength for agents producing reviewable communication artifacts, but it also means dense exploratory maps and manual diagram editing are outside its intended use. README
